Summer House rated Outstanding by Ofsted
Summer House has joined Hornbeam and Pine Lodge as The Caldecott Foundation’s third children’s home rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
Importantly the inspection report highlighted the views expressed by the young people cared for at Summer House stating that, “they feel safe and cared for. They are confident that staff will support them and help them if they feel unsafe or worried.”
It was also noted in the report that, “All the young people have gained the confidence to attend clubs in the community” and that “Young people’s health needs are promoted and protected conscientiously and rigorously”.
Trudie Boorman, Registered Manager of Summer House said, “I’m so pleased that the hard work and dedication of the team at Summer House has been recognised by Ofsted. I believe that the relationships between our staff and young people are the key to our success and it is great to see how clearly this is reflected in the report”.
