In 2008 the Caldecott Foundation established its own fostering agency having recognised the vitally important role that good foster families can play in the journey of children in care. After several years spent bringing on board fantastic new carers and placing young people we received a ‘Good’ from Ofsted in our first major inspection.
In 2011 we met the Directors of the Stone Soup Project who also had a small fostering agency in Nottinghamshire and whose values and aspirations for the children they looked after closely aligned with our own. A conversation which started by exploring options for joint working to achieve better outcomes ended with a formal partnership being agreed. In 2012 the Caldecott Foundation and Stone Soup Project jointly set up a new fostering agency called Caldecott Fostering.
