Supported Living
Caldecott’s new Supported Living service is now ready for its first residents. The service has been set up as a ‘step down’ from residential care and young people will be supported to learn the necessary skills to enable them to move on successfully to independent living.
The accommodation is situated between two of our existing houses, Mayfield and Lacton Lodge, which both have staff teams who are extremely experienced with young adults and who can be called on for added support if required. The location is also beneficial as it is in close proximity to a supermarket, town centre and the railway and bus stations.
The building has just undergone a total refurbishment and provides it's residents with:-
-
5 large furnished bedsits, each with their own vanity unit
-
A shared Lounge, Dining Room, Garden and fully equipped Kitchen
-
A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer
-
1 bathroom, 2 shower rooms and 4 WCs
-
Off-road parking and secure storage for bicycles
-
An Office and staff accommodation
Young people resident in the service are required to sign a contract which will include a commitment to be in full-time education, training or employment.
