Caldecott carers and children outside their house

Residential Care

Caldecott’s seven residential homes provide a safe and contained environment, and range from modern, purpose-built houses for up to nine children, to smaller houses preparing them for a return to a foster or birth family.

Although our traditional residential service has been the provision of 52 week care, we have responded to the needs of local authorities by providing a limited number of 38 week placements. We guarantee the same high quality, individualised care with full access to all of Caldecott’s specialist staff and facilities.

Every child accessing our residential care service can choose how to decorate their own bedroom and is given a voice in the running of the house through House Meetings and our ‘Have Your Say Forums’.

Each house is staffed by a team of experienced, dedicated and fully-trained residential care workers who ensure a homely environment which is safe, fun and stimulating.
