An adult doing crafts with two children

Volunteer

If you would like to give us some practical support there are all sorts of ways in which you could give valuable support with your free time.

Volunteering with the Children

There are a limited number of volunteer places available working regular time slots with our children in one of our houses. Although this is a serious commitment it can also be an incredibly rewarding experience. This is what Sue, a Caldecott Volunteer had to say… click here to read Sue’s story.

Please note that you must be at least 21 years old to volunteer with our children.

Gardening Guru

Caldecott has 8 large residential houses, each with its own garden, plus extensive grounds. As well as great exercise you will be helping to improve the surroundings for our children and this is something which will have really positive benefits. If you enjoy gardening and could give us some time on a regular basis, we would be very happy to hear from you.

Caldecott Reps

If you enjoy public speaking and getting out and about we can offer you a place as a Caldecott Rep: giving talks on our work, attending cheque presentations, and becoming a close friend of the Foundation. You might need to travel around Kent to visit schools, groups and events.

Collection Box Managers

We are always hunting for people who have some time to help with placing, managing and collecting Collection Boxes in their local area. You will get to build relationships with local shops and businesses as you pop in to change Collection Boxes and present certificates.

Would you like to Volunteer?  This is the first step...

Thank you for offering us your time. For the first step we ask that you email a copy of your CV with a Covering Letter to volunteering@caldecottfoundation.co.uk. We will then contact you to discuss your interest.

Please note that safeguarding our children is our first and most important responsibility and so all volunteers must complete an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check before starting.
