New Library Provides Support

Support Library

We have now opened a new library of specialist resources to help our children though the emotional crises which have arisen in their lives as a result of their experiences.

The library contains books, games and DVDs on a wide range of issues which affect our children. One of the difficulties we have faced with this project has been to provide resources which cater for the different ages and understandings of our children and young people. This, along with the specialist nature of the resources has meant that the cost of the project has been high and could have only been completed thanks to generous donations including a grant of £2,400 from Heart fm’s ‘Have a Heart’ charity.

Says Clive Lee, Chief Executive, “The process of recovery for our children isn’t quick and it’s certainly not easy.  Our new support library will provide the material resources to aid this process and ultimately, give our children the chance to achieve their true potential”.

Listed below are just some of the issues covered by the new resources:

Feelings and Emotions
Social Skills
Conflict Resolution
Life Skills
Drugs
Anger Management
Bullying
Bereavement and Loss
