Andrex Puppy helps make a great Night at the Dogs

Friday 13^th was very lucky for the Caldecott Foundation after a fun-packed evening of fundraising at Sittingbourne’s Central Stadium.  It wasn’t just the greyhounds racing around, as volunteers hared around the stadium selling raffle tickets and chatting to guests.

We had a tremendous amount of support from our 12 corporate friends and local businesses who sponsored the races.  Andrex and Kleenex went a step further and gave Sofa Snugglers and Hampers for the raffle and free goodies to everyone who entered the stadium.  We also had many companies kindly donate prizes for our raffle with the Andrex Puppy on hand to get generous gamblers to dig deep for the charity.

Head of Fundraising, Sam Scott said: “It was a really fun evening and everyone got into the spirit of having a flutter whilst helping us raise some vital funds.”

At the end of the night we came home with £6,000 of race sponsorship, ticket sales and raffle money which will be put towards extras for our children, such as Christmas holiday outings to the pantomime.
