Emergency and Assessment
What does Pine Lodge Offer?
Pine Lodge provides a comprehensive package of assessment, care and education to young people with extremely complex needs. Our highly skilled and experienced team tailor this package to each young person and can deliver any of the following:
- Emergency Placements
- Three or six month Assessments
- Focused work over a specific period of time
- Bridging Placements
- Respite Care
Each young person has a weekly case review attended by a Therapist, Educational Psychologist, Allocated Care worker and class teacher in line with our integrated and mutli-disciplinary approach to case management. This group sets and monitors both short term and long term objectives for all aspects of a young person’s life.
A focus on Outcomes - Every Child Matters
Pine Lodge has fully embraced the Every Child Matters Agenda and the five outcomes. We believe that ‘Enjoying and Achieving’ is a particularly important part of growing up and place a high priority on offering a wide range of activities both inside and outside Caldecott.
Education at Pine Lodge can be delivered in both a formal and informal setting guided by the needs of the young people. Lessons follow the National Curriculum with a strong emphasis on developing core skills and promoting creativity.
Regular and comprehensive risk assessments are a vital part of the care we offer and are used to radically reduce the possibility and severity of identified risk taking behaviours.
What happens in the long term?
Planning for the young person’s future is an essential part of our work. The staff team will use their detailed knowledge of a young person to identify the best provision for their future whether in Caldecott or an external placement.
The Caldecott Foundation is able to offer Residential Care, Fostering and Semi-Independence placements or we can aid Local Authorities in identifying external provisions that can meet a young person’s needs.
