Donating through your salary is a hassle-free and tax efficient way of giving to Caldecott. Your donations will be made before tax is deducted and so, unlike Gift Aid, we will receive all the tax you would have paid, including at the higher rate.
For example – Someone who pays the basic rate of tax and wants to give us a gift of £10 a month will actually pay £8, the remaining £2 coming from the taxman. Someone who pays the higher rate of tax would only pay £6 with the taxman paying the remaining £4.
If your company has a payroll giving scheme then your payroll department should be able to very quickly help you set up your monthly donation. If your company doesn’t have a scheme then don’t worry, you simply need to ask them to contact the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on the below details and they will be able to help set up the scheme.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01732 520055 (calls are charged at local rate).
If you or your company would like to know more about Payroll Giving then the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) website should provide you with all the information you need.
The Fundraising Standards Board (FRBS) is a self-regulatory body for UK fundraising organizations. As a member, the Caldecott Foundation has agreed to adhere to the highest standards of good practice in our fundraising activities. We fundraise according to the FRBS Fundraising promise and in line with the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Fundraising Practice.
