As well as educating young people in Caldecott’s care, Caldecott School offers places to young people as day pupils. Caldecott’s education is suited to any young person that requires small classes and high adult to pupil ratios, as well as working with SEN staff.
Caldecott School maximises achievement with progression matching pupils’ social development needs to their vital education requirement. All students follow the National Curriculum and nationally recognised certification courses.
Children are given special support to build self-esteem and confidence and taught the essential behavioural skills for learning.
Baseline assessments, identifying educational deficits, weaknesses and strengths are undertaken for every child. This enables individual programmes with relevant targets to be planned for every pupil. SEN staff work on a 1:1 and a class basis to help overcome educational deficits and maximise potential.
